On February 11, 2026, Prospects College of Higher Education hosted an insightful masterclass conducted by Dr. Kelly Tribolet, Course Director – Education at Charles Sturt University, Australia.
Titled “Learning Through Play: The Science Behind How Children Learn,” the workshop explored the research and theory supporting play-based learning in early childhood education. Dr. Tribolet shared valuable insights into how play contributes to cognitive, social, and emotional development, and how educators can intentionally design learning experiences that nurture curiosity and creativity in young learners.
Students actively participated in discussions, collaborative activities, and reflective exercises throughout the session, making the masterclass both engaging and practical.Overall, the masterclass was a valuable and enriching experience. It gave students a deeper understanding of how powerful play can be in a child’s learning journey and encouraged them to think more intentionally about the kind of educators they aspire to become.
