My journey began at PCHE, where I built a strong academic foundation that made my transition to Australia smooth and rewarding. Studying at Deakin University enhanced my knowledge, practical skills, and confidence, preparing me for a successful career by equipping me with the industry-relevant experience needed to thrive in a professional environment.

My passion for Early Childhood Education began at 16, leading me to complete my Diploma in Early Childhood Education at PCHE, where I received exceptional academic support and guidance. After graduating in 2023, I transitioned to Australia to continue my Bachelor of Early Childhood Education at Deakin University through the pathway program. The support from PCHE and the opportunity to continue alongside friends made the transition much smoother. Today, I am proud to be working as a Room Leader in a Pre-Kindergarten room. I am grateful for the knowledge, experiences, and encouragement I received at PCHE, and I encourage future students to pursue their passion, believe in themselves, and embrace every opportunity to learn and grow.

The practical exposure, experience, and opportunities which I received throughout the Diploma in Early Childhood Education, which included placements at well-equipped preschools, prepared me well to commence the 2nd year of the Bachelor of Early Childhood Education at Deakin University. The lecturers as well as the Director of Academics of PCHE, personally supported, guided and motivated me throughout my learning journey.

A past pupil of Ladies’ College Colombo shared her views about the program. I love working with kids and found that a degree in early childhood education would enable me to fulfil my dream of becoming an effective early childhood educator. Therefore, I enrolled for the Diploma in Early Childhood Education at Prospects College of Higher Education (PCHE), as I wanted to complete the pathway program in Sri Lanka and continue at Deakin from the second year onwards. The curriculum was comprehensive and covered diverse topics.
